Positive Discipline for Young Children (2-6 years)
Parenting can be a challenge. As soon as parents master the baby stage, a young child develops and new challenges arise. Designed for parents of children aged 2 to 6 years old, this workshop will cover:
• Understanding positive discipline
• Effective strategies for parenting young children
• Techniques for raising emotionally balanced children
• Alternatives to constantly saying “No” to children
• Encouragement as a tool to building a healthy self esteem
Lissy Puno holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Lissy specializes in behavioural and emotional problems of children and adolescents while working with parents, teachers and families. Some areas that her work focuses on are in enhancing parent-child relationships, handling fear and anxiety, self esteem issues, social skills building, school adjustment issues including peer pressure and bullying. Her extensive experience in child, adolescent and family counseling experience for the past 18 years in the United States, Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia covers diverse cultural groups in the expatriate setting. Her special interests are child/adolescent issues, parenting, marital enhancement including cross cultural relationships and midlife transitions.
